- Exchanges: Wisconsin has joined several other states in its refusal to establish a state health exchange under the guidelines of the Affordable Care Act. Governor Scott Walker returned nearly $37 million in funds to the federal government and the Wisconsin State Legislature has halted all funding towards development of an exchange. Governor Walker reaffirmed his stance after the Supreme Court ruling.
- Medicaid Expansion: Governor Walker announced in February that Wisconsin would not be participating in the Medicaid expansion.
- Medicare Advantage Enrollment: Wisconsin currently has 291,469 seniors and people with disabilities enrolled in Medicare Advantage, or about 30% of all Medicare beneficiaries.
