- Exchanges: The Delaware Health Commission studied the possibility of an exchange, but Delaware is unlikely to implement a state-based exchange.
- Essential Health Benefits: The Delaware legislature passed a number of measures in 2011 implementing essential health benefit (EHB) requirements outlined in the Affordable Care Act. No additional EHB-related legislation has been introduced in 2012. An advisory group charged with studying EHB options released a report detailing potential benchmark plans that are currently being considered.
- Medicaid Expansion: Delaware voluntarily expanded Medicaid in 1996.
- Medicare Advantage Enrollment: Delaware currently has 10,949 seniors and people with disabilities enrolled in Medicare Advantage.
