This Week’s Hearings

This week will be a busy week on the Hill is it relates to health care focused hearings. 

April 12:

5:00 pm - The House Rules Committee will meet to formulate a rule on H.R.1217, to repeal the Prevention and Public Health Fund.  (H-313, U.S. Capitol)

April 13:

10:00 am – The House Education and Workforce Committee will hold a hearing on “Policies and Priorities of the Department of Health and Human Services.” HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is the scheduled witness. (2175 Rayburn)

10:00 am - The Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing on “Perspectives on Deficit Reduction.” (215 Dirksen)

10:30 am – The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing on “Import Safety: Status of FDA’s Screening Efforts at the Border.” (2322 Rayburn)

2:00 pm - The Senate Special Committee on Aging will hold a hearing on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the reform of the medical device approval process. (562 Dirksen)

April 14:

9:00 am - The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade will hold a hearing on “Warning: The Growing Danger of Prescription Drug Diversion.” (2123 Rayburn)

1:30 pm – The House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Health Care, District of Columbia, Census and the National Archives will hold a hearing on “Pathway To FDA Medical Device Approval: Is There A Better Way?” (2247 Rayburn)
