After last week’s district work period, the Senate and House get back to it this week with a handful of health care related hearings.
The one to watch will be held by the House Energy & Commerce hearing on the true cost of the reform law.
March 30:
10:00 AM – The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, Education and Related Agencies will hold a hearing on the President’s FY 2012 Budget for HHS. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is the scheduled witness. (124 Dirksen)
10:00 AM – The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing on “The True Cost of PPACA: Effects on the Budget and Jobs.” The witnesses on the first panel will be CBO director Doug Elmendorf and CMS’ Chief Actuary Rick Foster. (2123 Rayburn)
April 1:
10:00 AM – The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing on “The PPACA’s High Risk Pool Regime: High Cost, Low Participation.” (2123 Rayburn)
10:00 AM – The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, Education and Related Agencies will hold a hearing on health reform. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is the scheduled witness. (2359 Rayburn)
